Why do We Must Study??

Good morning..

What are you doing today?

I guess that you must be studying at school now ;)

Have you ever ask why we must school? Or why do we must study everyday?

That question often passed in my mind when i was child.

Study is very bored. Makes me sleepy and hungry. It’s really spend my time to have another fun activities, isn't it?

In Indonesia we have a program called Wajib Belajar Sembilan Tahun. It means that we must have a school educatian at least 9 years, start from elementary school (basic education) until junior high school (middle education). Can you imagine how bored that is? Everyday we must wake up and take a bath earlier, have a lesson in the class, and also do homework.

But have you ever think that study is very important to our life?

What is the importance? Here is some important reason :

1.       Study builds our selfhood

Since we are kid, many things that we don't understand whether it good or bad. Children are easy to receive influenced by something. But by study, everything will be thinked by them and they will make a decision to receive or ignore it. So, until they grow up many information they get by study will be a big effect to formed their selfhood.

2.     Study makes us rich

The meaning of rich here is not only oriented to economic side. Rich means that we have anything more than other people. Knowledge, information, and experience are also called richness. And we never get them without study. Be a rich people and have a lot of money is not impossible for us. Many stories of success people in the world tell us that they have many knowledge to lead them make their dream comes true by study.

3.     Study makes us happy

Sometimes I found a happiness by study. How come? When I feel bored with the books I will go outside and try to practice what I have gotten from reading a book before. It’s as like as I find a case or a fact around my life. Trust me, it’s more interesting than we just read and write in the books. I found something new and makes me curious to find or learn more and more. It’s fun!

4.     Study builds our confidence

Confidence is something important we must have. If you don’t have a good confidence, you will find difficulties to reach what you want. So, you must build your confidence by study. Study will give you knowledge more than you didn’t do it. By knowing everything, you will not be afraid if you face a problem and make a best decision to resolve it.

Actually, there are still many other reason and importance why we must study. But from what I have written above, at least you can try to change your mindset that study is bored. It’s really fun if you have found your own way to study.
